We build strong interpersonal relationships with our Residents and their families. We hire multi-lingual staff to meet the needs of our Residents and to encourage open communication. All our Residents are encouraged to pursue and are assisted in pursuing their individual hobbies and interests. We provide a secure and safe home. Regular conferences with the Family Council and local community help us to improve our services continuously.

Resident Care refers to the services provided to the residents, either on a personal or nursing level. At the very core of our service is continually knowing that The O'Neill Centre is each residents' home. Residents don't come to our facility and just get slotted into our rules and regulations. Rather, our staff come to work in our residents' home providing the care that makes them always feel at home.

The Briton House is conveniently located in the Mount Pleasant and Eglinton area of Toronto within walking distance to stores and services. Our well-trained, professional and friendly staff will endeavour to make your life both positive and enjoyable.

Our drop-In Companions will take our Members for a walk, chat with them, write letters, make a cup of tea and otherwise assist those who wish to remain comfortable in their own homes. They will prepare meals whether breakfast, lunch or dinner and ensure the residence is maintained in a neat and tidy manner by performing light housekeeping chores. More than twenty percent of our companions are over 70 years of age themselves. Our oldest worker to date is an 87 year old who reads British history ...
