Retirement Living residents are the Internet's newest stars

A group of residents at a retirement living community in Michigan are the Internet’s newest overnight celebrities.

The Clark Retirement Community, a continuing care facility in Grand Rapids Michigan, produced a video in late June with the help of students from Grand Valley State University, showcasing 100 of their residents lip-syncing to the tune of Michael Bubles hit, ‘Feeling Good,’ according to the Grand Rapids Press.

The video, posted on sites including YouTube and Vimeo, has garnered hundreds of thousands of views, and features the residents playfully lampooning stereotypes. Some of the scenes include a group of synchronized swimmers, a man distributing prune juice, and a woman stealing a box of Depends adult diapers, according to the news source, all while mouthing the words of ‘Feeling Good.’

Rudy and Emily Cooper, two of the video’s stars, told the news source they practiced “dozens of times†for the final production, but it was worth it.
“It was a delight,†Rudy Cooper said. “It’s something that no one around here will ever forget.â€

According to Grand Valley State University’s website, the seniors from Clark have also made history. The website says their first lip sync production is the country’s first to be done totally by members of a retirement community.
