Richmond retirement living villages in England have recently decided to launch a new initiative that may appeal to retirees who are thinking about moving to a senior community to enjoy their golden years, according to The Henley Standard.
"Try before you buy" is a scheme that will allow prospective residents to spend a few days in one of the villages.
Some, such as Richmond Letcombe Regis, offer a spa, a pool, a gym and a salon, as well as health and beauty rooms.
This is complemented by art classes, film nights, happy hour, live performances and a number of other fun events that help ensure retirees will never get bored.
"From first hearing about a retirement village to the move and getting settled, there are a lot of things to consider, and getting a feel for your new home ahead of purchasing is just one of the things we can do to help," Paddy Brice, managing director of Richmond Villages, told the news provider.
It's important to research all the possibilities before selecting a retirement home. Experts suggest that seniors should stop by a community several times - and talk to both staff and residents - before making their decision.
