Families who are looking for a senior living community that is specially suited for the needs of an older adult may have a difficult time choosing and researching their options. There aren't too many comprehensive guides and listings, but U.S. News & World Report has recently published a new ranking for 15,000 nursing homes entitled U.S. News Best Nursing Homes.

Each retirement home is categorized by state using federal data and then ranked by three separate categories.
