Q. Im using Outlook for my email. My maiden name appears in the "From" part of email that I send out and I cant figure out how to change that. Can you help, Mr. M?

A. You can easily change the name that identifies you as the sender. Click Tools > Accounts > Mail tab. Click to select the account you want to change, then click the Properties button. The current name displayed to recipients will appear in the Name: field, which you can edit to reflect your married name. When youre finished, click Apply > OK to save your changes.

Q. Im using Yahoo! Mail and I was wondering if there is any way to send messages to a group of people by typing in the group name. Im sure there is, but I have no idea how to do that. Help!

A. All you have to do is go into your Yahoo! Mail, click Contacts > Add Category. Provide a Category name, then click SAVE. Click the Add Contacts link which will display a list of your contacts from which you can then select which ones to include in your Category List. After making your selections, click Add Selected to create your list.

When you're ready to send a message to the group, compose your email as you normally would, then type the name of your Category in the To: field. That's all there is to it.

Q. I have music from a CD saved on my hard drive. When I copy it to a CD-RW, it will play on my computer, but not on my car stereo. How can I fix this?

A. Not all car stereos or small CD players can play CD-RWs. My best suggestion is to burn the music to a good quality CD-R disk, and use a slower recording (burn) speed. Because music is burned to recordable CDs (CD-Rs) and rewritable CDs (CD-RWs) in different ways, its best to stick with CD-Rs for recording music, if you plan to play it in your car.

Steer clear of any cheapie CDs or the kind that are sold by the pound. I only use name brand CDs like Sony, Panasonic, Verbatim, Fuji -- recognizable names are good. Big Ernies Disk-O-Plenty is not so good. Sometimes simply switching the brand of CD-R you're using will make all the difference in the world, so that's worth a try, if the problem persists.

To burn an audio CD, you will need a program such as Nero (www.nero.com), Roxio (www.roxio.com), or any of the many others, though you may already have a CD/DVD-burning program on your system that will work just fine. Most importantly, be sure you have your CD software configured to burn audio files, not data.

Diamonds are unique stones formed from coal that is subjected to millions of years of heat and pressure, or 10 seconds within Supermans grasp. While they are undeniably beautiful and sparkly, there is much more to these precious gems than meets the eye. This fascinating MSNBC video traces the circuitous path of a diamond through the controversial perils of the mining industry, to its final destination in fabulous jewelry or as Paris Hilton's swizzle-stick decorations.
