Thanks to the wealth of activities it offers, a multi-million dollar senior center in Mississippi is getting rave reviews from its residents, WLOX News.
Among the amentities provided are an indoor track, numerous card and domino tables and classrooms that house a number of 'how to' seminars. According to the news source, Linda Dice, a resident at the Long Beach Activity and Senior Center, has noticed an improved mood with her increased activity.
"I feel better about myself when I walk and exercise," Dice told the news provider.
"This is a wonderful building they have here. We're happy to have it in Long Beach."
Although it is currently successful, city officials say that they plan to expand. Long Beach recreation director Robert Paul told the news outlet that the eventual goal is to combine the center with all baseball, football and soccer fields to make maintainance easier.

Experts at the Public Health Agency of Canada say that an active lifestyle can help prevent ailments such as osteoporosis and arthritis, and drastically improve one's mood. However, they also say that 24 percent of Canadians do not exercise enough.
