Festival could bring young and older persons together


An eldercare agency in Massachusetts will hold an intergenerational event to celebrate its 35th anniversary on October 4.


The Family Fun Fest and Community Block Party will be held at the agency's center on Merrimack Street in Lawrence, according to The Eagle-Tribune. It starts at 11 a.m. and lasts three hours. There will martial arts demonstrations, a monster truck and of course food and music.


Money made from the event will be donated to the Elder Care Fund, which provides financial help to various programs designed to improve the quality of life of seniors, reports the news provider.


This eldercare agency says on its website that it's always looking for new ways to improve its services, increase its funding and help more people.
