The key to success when it comes to developing fresh and fun activity programs is to listen and incorporate what it is that the residents find to be the most stimulating, enjoyable, and entertaining! We believe that promoting overall wellness through activities that enhance the mind, body, and spirit are essential to living a happier, healthier, and engaged life, and that is exactly how we have designed our programs. Entertainment and socialization are an option 7 days a week at varied hours of the day. We have designed elegant lounges and a cafe that provides a hot cup of coffee and a goodie anytime you wish. Have your friends and family over to visit anytime, or celebrate with others in our private dining room. Adelaide Place is your home; we pride ourselves on recognizing that everyone is individual, and cater to your choices.
Let our Full Time Program Coordinator guide the way and keep you informed of the many stimulating options. Make sure to mention what it is that you like to do, and we do our best to incorporate it into our monthly events calendar. Whether it is playing bridge in one of our lounges, taking day trips to go out with your friends, or curling up with a bowl of popcorn in our movie theatre, we pride ourselves on having something for everyone to enjoy. The heated indoor therapeutic pool is an option to either start your day with a swim or attend an Aqua-Fit class. And if you feel like relaxing in the privacy of your suite, we even have a movie channel that plays the feature film from our theatre.
Stay active in our fully equipped fitness center, join in our dancing classes, or simply take a stroll around the gardens and walking paths. Our in house physiotherapy instructor is available to help design a personal fitness program for you and to give you one on one help in reaching your goal of learning how to safely stay active. If you would like to continue to be socially active in your new "community" we encourage those interested to join our Resident Council and represent others as we strive to continually grow and evolve with the changing interests of everyone. Nurturing the spirit is also vital in staying healthy and enjoying life to the fullest. We have designed a chapel in our lower level, and will ensure that faith based programs are available weekly. The spirit can also be nurtured through music programs, live entertainment, themed events, and of course staying involved by volunteering as a group to help others in Lindsay.
