2011 LeadingAge Annual Meeting & IAHSA Global Aging Conference


LeadingAge is an association of 5,400 not-for-profit organizations dedicated to expanding the world of possibilities for aging. Its much anticipated conference will take place in Washington, DC, at the Washington Convention Center, October 16 to 19, 2011.

IAHSA - The Global Ageing Network represents business members, university researchers, government agencies, educators and individuals interested in global ageing.

Keynote Speakers:

Maya Angelou. Her list of published verse, non-fiction and fiction include more than 30 best-selling titles, earning her Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award nominations.

Elie Wiesel. A professor, prolific author, Holocaust survivor and winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace. He has worked to give voice to our world’s poor, frail, lonely and suffering.

Mary Robinson. Ireland's first woman president and has spent most of her life as a human rights advocate. She was the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and is president of the Mary Robinson Foundation - Climate Justice.
