What We Do:
Family Care volunteers provide non-medical services to terminally ill individuals and their families, either in the home or in an alternative health care setting. Our goal is to meet the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of patients and their families.
HSC offers a bereavement program for adults, teens and children. Trained volunteers and staff maintain regular phone contact with the bereaved to listen, reassure and refer as needed. Skilled facilitators volunteer their time to conduct grief workshops for adults and children. Bereavement services are also open to the community at large.
Harbor House is a residential program of HSC. It is a home for up to two individuals facing the end of their lives. Our goal at Harbor House is to fulfill our mission while giving the highest quality care to our guests. Community Outreach is an important function of HSC. Speakers from Hospice Support Care are pleased to speak to your staff, organization, business or church group and present information on end-of-life issues, hospice, palliative care, and other related topics.
