The Bon Secours Health System was formed in 1983 to provide skilled, unified management and professional resources for all Bon Secours health care operations while preserving Bon Secours' Catholic tradition of providing quality care to all, especially the poor and sick.

BSHSI’s more than 28,000 caregivers help people in 15 communities in nine states, primarily on the East Coast. The Congregation of Sisters of Bon Secours also has health care ministries in France, Ireland, Great Britain and South America.
