A new assisted-living facility, the first of its kind in Holmen, will allow residents with special needs to remain in the village instead of moving to Onalaska or La Crosse.   
 
Bethany Lutheran Homes broke ground Nov. 10 on the project, which will be on Juniper Lane.

Todd Wilson, Bethany Lutheran's chief executive officer, said he was very excited about the project and happy to bring the facility to Holmen. “We began to look at the under-served need of the community and it didn't take long to determine there was a real need and desire for Bethany Lutheran Homes to provide assisted living on Jupiter Lane,” he said.
