By Katie Bennett/ Hingham Mothers Club Wednesday, November 23, 2005
Friday, Nov. 18, the Hingham Mothers Club community service board had the privilege of serving Hingham seniors a Thanksgiving feast. With the help of cheerful fifth-graders from Plymouth River School, a deluxe luncheon of turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, and apple crisp was served. The next community service event will be the annual Interfaith holiday party on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Held at the Old Ship Meeting House, the Mothers Club joins forces with the Crowley family (also of Hingham) to provide Christmas goodies, arts and crafts for pictures with Santa. Mary Donius is coordinating the collection of more than 75 festively wrapped baked goods for homeless families to take with them when the party is over.
