Construction has started on one of two major senior living projects that will be built in Fort Collins within the next several years.
Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC broke ground this week on a 125-unit independent living facility that will be located in the Rigden Farm development near the southeast corner of Timberline and Drake roads.
The $16 million project, called Rigden Farm Senior Living, will include a 121,000-square-foot building and nine independent living cottages. All the units will be for lease.
The project is expected to be completed in December 2006 and the company will begin signing on tenants in several months, said Dina Newsom, sales director.
Rooms in the building will range in size from about 400 square feet to about 985 square feet and will range in price from $1,500 a month to $2,900 a month.
Cottages are about 1,200 square feet and will rent for $3,250 a month.
