Elder Choices merges into Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services

Two area agencies that provide home health to senior citizens joined forces this week.

Elder Choices of Central Ohio agreed to merge into the Central Ohio operations of Senior Independence, the home health care division of Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services. The merger took effect Monday, said Adrienne Corbett, executive director of Elder Choices.

Elder Choices forms the nucleus of Senior Independence Choices, a newly created division of Senior Independence.

Senior Independence Choices focuses on non-skilled forms of senior care such as meal assistance, housework help and transportation. Corbett leads the new division, and Senior Independence hired most of Elder Choices' 70 staffers.
