What's happening for local seniors. Wenham COA Wenham residents, age 60 or older, are invited for coffee and doughnuts on the first and third Saturdays of each month, 9:30-11 a.m., at the recreation building on School Street. The guest speaker Saturday, March 19, will be Al Klebe, chairman of the Wenham Historic District Commission. Hamilton COA The Hamilton Council on Aging meets the second Thursday of the month, 4:30 p.m., in the former Hamilton Public Library, Bay Road. For information, call 978-468-5595. Boston Pops A trip to the Boston Pops will take place Saturday, May 14. The cost for tickets is $44 and the deadline to sign up is Monday, March 21. The program is offered through SeniorCare RSVP, whose volunteer counselors are trained by the Internal Revenue Service and will operate counseling desks at the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library, 14 Union St., Hamilton, Wednesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. For information, call Lydia Bertolino, 978-468-1193. Washington, D.C. trip A senior trip to Washington, D.C., is scheduled for April 1-4, during cherry blossom time. Prices are $505, twin; $485, triple; $695 single. Brown Bag Concerts Pro Musica is offering senior citizens the opportunity to order a bag lunch for the Brown Bag Concert Series held most Fridays at noon at the Hamilton-Wenham Community House. The meal includes a sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert and water or juice for $2.50. To place an order, call the Hamilton Council on Aging office, 978-468-5595, by noon Thursday for the Friday concert. Leave a name and the number of bag lunches requested. Lunches will be at the concert with a reserved seat. SeniorCare is there SeniorCare is a non-profit organization contracted by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs. It provides and coordinates services to elders and their families, including elder-care advice, home-delivered meals or congregate dining, home care, personal care, benefits/insurance counseling, money management assistance, transportation to medical appointments, protective services and more. SeniorCare serves elders, regardless of income, and its information and referral specialists are available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to answer questions or respond to needs. Knitting club invitation All seniors are invited to join the Cutler Elementary School Knitting Club for fifth-graders and seniors, which meets every Tuesday school day, from noon to 12:50 p.m., at the school, 237 Asbury St., Hamilton.
