Date Added: 23-08-2005
Sam Romero introduced Mike Schmeeckle, who spoke about options for long-term care in a talk to the Fort Morgan Evening Optimist Club Thursday.
Schmeeckle reported that help is available in this program for housekeeping, transportation, bathing, dressing, hygiene, assisted living, ramps, grab bars, bathroom modifications and call-for-help electronic monitors. To apply, clients must complete the Medicaid application through county social services.
In club news, the club will have a team in the Ag Appreciation Day golf tourney. Jim Reid gave a report on the flags and pumpkins.
Bronco tickets were won by Brian Henry's guest, Phil Darey.
The next meeting will be the annual steak and fun night Aug. 25 at the REA picnic grounds. A board meeting is scheduled Sept. 1.
