SENIOR HEALTH
* The Seniors EyeCare Program will offer free eye-care information for patients who qualify. The program is designed for those age 65 and older who have not seen an ophthalmologist in three or more years. Eligible patients will be matched with a nearby volunteer ophthalmologist. * The Senior Outreach Program at Beverly Hospital will host a Senior Supper Club open to all area seniors. Each month, the group will meet for a lecture followed by a nutritious and affordable meal in the hospital's cafeteria. Call (978) 774-4400, ext. 4005.
* The VNA Care Network offers a free Medication Management Program to help seniors and their caregivers effectively manage seniors' prescription medications and reduce errors and adverse drug reactions. Participants must be age 60 or older and be a resident of Danvers, Marblehead, Middleton, Peabody or Salem. Call (800) 728-1862.
BLOOD PRESSURE
* Radius Healthcare Center and CVS Pharmacy will hold blood pressure clinics the second Tuesday of every month at various locations including Beverly, Danvers, Peabody and Salem. For information or times, call Mary Roberts at (978) 777-2700, ext. 3067.
* A free blood pressure clinic is held on the first Tuesday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Geriatric Care Center, 75 Lindall St., Danvers.
WOMEN'S HEALTH
r VNA Care Network will provide financial assistance stipends to women in need with breast cancer. Stipends can be used for treatment, medication, child care, prosthetic undergarments, head coverings and transportation. For more information, call (888) 663-3688, ext. 2429.
* The Women's Health Network, part of VNA Care Network, offers uninsured and underinsured, income-eligible women free mammograms, pap tests and cardiovascular screenings. The program is open to women ages 40 to 64, but women of other ages may also qualify for some services. For details in English, Portuguese or Spanish, call (888) 663-3688, ext. 1340, or e-mail kwebber@vnacarenetwork.org. All inquiries and services are confidential. Immigration status not considered. Social Security number not required to receive services.
MONTHLY SCREENINGS: Diabetes and cardiovascular risk screenings are held on from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month from at the Lifestyle Management Institute at the Beverly Hospital Hunt Center, 75 Lindall St., Danvers. CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION: Beverly Hospital offers a variety of classes for parents including infant massage, prenatal preparation, infant and child CPR and boot camp for new dads. Some classes are free; others range from $15 to $175. Classes are held in Beverly, Georgetown and Gloucester. To register, call (978) 927-9103 by your fourth month to ensure availability, dates, times and locations.
YOGA CLASSES
* Yoga classes for both beginners and experienced participants will be held at the Lifestyle Management Institute at the Hunt Center, 75 Lindall St., Danvers. Classes include Gentle Yoga, Yoga for Men and Power Lunch. Call (888) 253-0800.
* North Shore Medical Center offers a variety of ongoing yoga classes at its various locations including Salem, Danvers and Lynn. Classes include Yoga for Plus-Size Individuals, Postpartum Yoga, Back Care Yoga, and Yoga for Fibromyalgia. Call (800) 966-2690.
