Senior Expo 2005 not just for seniors
Date Added: 10-03-2005
If you did not make it to the Senior Expo on Wednesday and Thursday last week, you missed out on a lot of valuable information.
Not only that, but there were freebies for everyone. People were getting massages or gathering sacks full of pens, notebooks, mugs, key rings, backscratchers, yardsticks, candies, lotions and creams. There were pamphlets and flyers on everything from smart investing and future planning to retirement living choices, health recreation, fitness and more. There was information on diabetes, eye care and cosmetic surgery as well as estate planning, entertainment and leisure.
The Senior Expo was held in a large tent in the parking lot of the Italian American Club. According to Joyce Coppens, account executive of Expo Marketing, there were about 50 exhibitors and services. Among the major sponsors were Pfizer, American Vacation Store, WINK Television and MSC Cruises.
In spite of its name, this Senior Expo was not just for seniors. America's Vacation Store held a drawing for a seven-night Caribbean Cruise for two. This drew much attention with crowds filling out forms with their names and high hopes of winning the trip. Other travel opportunities were also available.
