Senior news: Pharmacist to check prescriptions

     Pharmacist's prescription check
 
     On Tuesday, April 19, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Linda London, registered pharmacist and manager of Walgreens pharmacy, will be at the center to review prescriptions.
 
     Bring all of your prescriptions in, and she will check for any potential drug interactions, and answer any questions. Sign up for a consultation by calling 781-455-7555.
 

 
     Housing options seminar
 
     Part one of the housing options seminar, "Living at Home," will take place Friday, May 6, from 1:30 to 4:15 p.m. There will be more than 20 booths of resource information available. Multiple presenters will speak on topics related to living at home, such as financial and health considerations, home care, visiting nurses, home modification, respite services and more.
 
     Part two, "Senior Living Options," will take place Friday, May 13, 1:30 to 4:15 p.m., with 20-plus booths of resource information. Presenters will speak on topics such as how and when to decide to move, 55-plus communities, senior apartments, private or subsidized housing and more.

     This program is offered by Riverside Care Management and the Needham Council on Aging. Refreshments will be served.
 
     Temple luncheon
 
     The annual senior luncheon sponsored by Temple Beth Shalom will take place Thursday, April 14, at noon, at the temple. To sign up, call the senior center at 781-455-7555. The luncheon includes live entertainment. Space is limited.
