Date Added: 13-04-2005

The St. Louis Business Journal reported that Lutheran Senior Services purchased a senior-living community in Columbia, Mo., from Fortress NBA Acquisition.

Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.

New York-based Fortress purchased St. Louis-based National Benevolent Association's 11 senior living facilities out of bankruptcy earlier this year for $210 million.

Carl Rausch, president of Lutheran Senior Services, said the organization made job offers to "substantially" all of Lenoir's 255 employees.
