On Wednesday, April 13, the Marshall County Master Gardeners will be represented on a panel. Bev Caputo on perennial flowers; Dennis Zmolek on tomatoes; Gene Neven on lawns; Bob Hibbs on trees; Carl Lester on blueberries; and Clarence Miller on vegetables. The panel will share information and answer questions from the group.
The second session on Wednesday, April 20, will cover the popular plants-day lilies and hostas. Don Lovell and Greg Johnson, experts with knowledge in developing new and unique varieties through hybridization, will be the presenters.
Then, the final session will be a field trip to the Reiman Gardens in Ames. The field trip will be an hour tour including the conservatory, green house, and butterfly wing.
This three-session course will be a delight to anyone raising flowers or vegetable gardens, as well as those who just enjoying seeing and hearing about gardens.
