The iPad has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue over the past few days, and it seems like the tablet computer might perfectly bridge the gap between smart phones and laptops. The easy-to-use device might even appeal to a whole new set of users who have never used Apple products before.

In fact, News Trends Today reports that the simple operating system and large screen of the iPad might make it the perfect solution for active living seniors who find iPhones too difficult to use.

The iPad also has a variety of features and available apps that might be of interest to seniors. For example, active living seniors who like to travel will appreciate the digital compass and detailed maps that make it easy to navigate unfamiliar locations.

There are a large number of books that will be available for download on the iPad, so those over 65 who like to read might find the large screen of the iPad ideal for reading.

And of course, seniors who enjoy Facebook and other social media sites will enjoy having immediate access to the latest updates.
