Vice-President, Operations – Retirement (Western Canada)

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree; MBA is considered an asset;
• Minimum five (5) or more years multi-site management experience in the retirement, retail, service, hospitality industry or a related field;
• Ability to apply critical thinking to a variety of situations, assess and analyze objectives, develop, implement and monitor effective plans for improvement;
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public;
• Proven track record to lead teams, organize and prioritize work and manage multiple demands;
• Prior P & L responsibility and history of sales and profit growth year over year;
• Demonstrated experience in the areas of sales, marketing, operations, property management, and finance;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills;
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and contact management software;
• Ability to travel.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to Provincial and Regional staff through motivating, directing and supporting operating plans relating to quality care, customer service, employee relations, revenue enhancement and business results;
• Develop and execute effective sales plans to achieve sales targets, drive margin and profitability and grow the business;
• Work with the Sales & Marketing team to assist in the entire sales cycle from identification through to close;
• Develop long term strategic business relationships with existing clients for identifying, as well as pursuing, new market opportunities;
• Capitalize on all potential opportunities, cross-sell and up-sell existing clients to maximize revenues;
• Contribute to the overall growth and development of the business through participating in a continuous improvement environment;
• Embodying the corporate vision, mission and values;
• Participate on corporate cross functional team projects where required;
• Other duties as assigned.
