General Manager\Director of Care

We are looking for an energetic professional with experience in the retirement and/or hospitality industry to provide overall leadership and direction at our Orillia facilities. The key aspect of this position is to ensure our residents are provided with an exceptional living experience. The successful candidate will have a record of achievement in the retirement or hospitality sector employing their superior service orientation to operating/supervising the provision of food services, health care, building maintenance and resident activities/wellness while ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation. In addition, you will have a through understanding of financial management within a retirement/hospitality operation including the preparation of budgets and operational accountability. This position is accountable for maintaining full occupancy.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years management experience in the retirement or hospitality industry.
• A post secondary education is a necessity in nursing. Minimum RPN certification
• Must have skills in supervision, budgeting, employee relations and aware of all applicable legislation.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively supervise the activities of department managers and demonstrate good fiscal and leadership responsibility.
• Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office applications is required.
