Director of Marketing

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director of the residence and, in conjunction with the site management and Corporate Marketing & Sales Team, will assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs including advertising campaigns, direct mail, media relations and production of appropriate marketing materials. Responsibilities will also include development and implementation of an active community outreach program, including presentations, trade shows and special events.
Qualifications
• Three to five (3-5) years experience and proven successes in consumer sales, community outreach and marketing;
• Business Degree with a major in Sales, Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations, or a background in an industry-related position: real estate, healthcare, fundraising or sales;
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and will have a keen understanding of the seniors’ market;
• Flexibility in working hours to meet client and Residence needs. Weekend and evening hours will be required;
• Must be proactive, self-disciplined and able to demonstrate a high level of productivity;
• Must have a high degree of interpersonal skill which would enable the incumbent to deal successfully with clients, community and agency contacts;
• Must have empathy for, and an understanding of, the needs of the elderly;
• Computer literacy is essential;
• A background in healthcare and/or real estate leasing would be an asset;
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
Key Responsibilities
• As a member of the Management Team, your role will be to provide ongoing leasing of suites. This will entail handling all phone inquiries and tours, qualifying all prospects and leading them through the sales process through consistent and creative follow-up.
o This will involve use of a contact management program, maintenance of model suite standards, and input on pricing and incentive policies;
o Maintain accurate records of all tours, sales calls, names, phone numbers and results, etc. to create a database for future reference and follow-up.
