Director of Community Relations

Embassy West Senior Living is the only retirement home in Ottawa that offers an on-site physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre and has full continuum of care from independent to assisted living including Alzheimer's and Dementia care. We are currently seeking a Director of Marketing and Sales Development to be responsible for strategically managing sales leads and developing new business relationships. This position is also responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of marketing including advertising, community relations, sales, and special events for community; conceptualizing all sales event programs including determining sales goals, strategic messaging, theme, invitation concept, decor, customer profile, customer experience, monitoring response rates, sales results from events, etc. The successful candidate will possess the following 2+ years experience in Healthcare sales; some senior living experience preferred; Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred; Exceptional sales skills; Strong leadership ability; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Proven track record in exceeding sales targets; Experience with revenue management and development of pricing strategies to maximize sales revenue; Solid marketing background in the areas of advertising, community relations, special events and networking; Strong analytical skills, good judgment, superior problem solving skills and decision making ability required.
