Clinical Resource Nurse

The LPN Manager (Clinical Resource Nurse) is responsible for the management of Resident Care Services for the 112 residents in this Assisted Living facility in collaboration with Alberta Health Services Community Care. Reporting to the General Manager, he/she ensures the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current applicable provincial standards, guidelines and regulations, to ensure that the highest standard of resident care is delivered and maintained at all times. He/she promotes teamwork and team spirit and encourages practices that respect resident, family and staff rights, individuality and diversity. As an LPN he/she is responsible and accountable to the public for his/her own practice, which is monitored and regulated. As an LPN he/she is responsible for ensuring that practice meets the legislative requirements of the College and Association of Practical Licensed Nurses of Alberta (CPLNA) Standards of Practice. The LPN Clinical Resource Nurse supervises, supports, and provides regular feedback to Health Care Aides and other direct reports. Qualifications: Current CLPNA Registration 3-5 years of management / leadership experience Demonstrated ability to motivate individuals within effective teams Experience in geriatrics and/or dementia is an asset Working knowledge of computers (Word, Excel and Outlook) Ability to adapt easily to change and to multi-task Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills Forward Applications to: Human Resources resumes@agecare.ca Fax: 403-873-3225
