The Sunset Nursing Home accepts both Medicaid and Medicare, as well as private pay and long-term care insurance, residents and is licensed by the Texas Department of Human Services. Membership is also maintained in the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging and the Texas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.

No matter what the need, we want to make your stay an enjoyable one.

We offer a variety of services that meet the individual needs and capacities of our residents. We assist some individuals with recuperation after hospital discharge and with their efforts to return to their highest level of functioning and independence. For others, whose activities of daily living cannot be adequately provided for in their own homes, we provide ongoing care in a safe and supportive environment.

This valuable combination of housing and services provides a home-like setting with the right balance of safety, security and wellness without compromising an individual’s choices, dignity or independence.

The first campus in the Sears Methodist Retirement System, Sears Methodist Center has a long history of high quality care and innovative services. The campus has grown from a small independent-living retirement community to a fully functional continuum-of-services campus for over 200 residents.
