Homewood's mission is to provide compassionate, professional and caring service and enhance the quality of life for residents, clients and co-workers.

Today our current capacity of 167 residents includes 46 Assisted Living beds, 32 Special Needs beds, and 90 Skilled Care beds. In addition there are 9 independent living units on campus. John XXIII Home enjoys the reputation for quality care for all past and present residents and is affectionately referred to as "The Cadillac of Nursing Homes", by many people in the Shenango Valley.

We offer 24-hour nursing care for patients who are in need of short-term rehabilitation, post acute, and sub acute care in a small, family-like environment. New Eastwood also performs specialized clinical services such as wound care, IV therapy, tracheotomy care, TPN and enteral services, and post-operative and surgical care. Additionally, the facility offers long-term care services as well.

The Hillcrest Apartments (photo right), located at 1010 Spruce Street, Hollidaysburg offer one or two bedroom units. There are also independent cottages located on the campus (also shown).

Park Avenue Manor of Pennsburg houses 28 guests in one building, 20 of which are on the ground level. The average age is approximately 60 years, made up of retired elderly and disabled persons. It has spacious rooms in a town setting which makes it very convenient to churches and shopping. There is a lot of community interest in our guests, with holiday celebrations being a very special time. An expected approach to nursing home care has been devotion to rigid routines, where residents are expected to fit into the institution’s schedule. This often conflicts with a resident’s desire to continue to be the individual she was prior to moving to long-term care.
