The Great Lakes Foundation was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in 1946 and opened the Hill Top Farm in 1948, serving 16 guests. In 1971, a new one-story building provided modern facilities and the ability to serve 23 guests. A volunteer board of directors governs Hill Top Center.
