The Hermann Sons Retirement Home, built on a hilltop near Comfort, provides security and companionship for members in their sunset years. It was constructed in pursuance to a resolution adopted by the Grand Lodge in its regular meeting in Austin April 21-23, 1913. It was completed and dedicated in 1916.

Sabine Oaks Home is a non-profit home set on beautifully landscaped grounds. We offer assisted living care for those who are no longer able to live independently. The home is governed by a volunteer board of directors. We are committed to providing quality care in a home-like atmosphere. Sabine Oaks Home is classified as a large Type B facility by the state.
