Description

Enjoy breathtaking lake views from The Village at Waterman Lake's picturesque campus situated on a 30-acre wooded hilltop. Beautifully landscaped grounds provide the setting for fitness and leisure, including a nine-hole putting green, Bocce court, nature trail, gardens, and greenhouses. Walking paths and gazebos grace The Courtyard grounds, while Chalet and Lodge residents can enjoy the tranquil scenery from the many terraces and club rooms. And residents can savor Waterman Lake’s beauty up-close on Village boat rides, be it with rod and reel in hand or perhaps a glass of chilled wine and a good book.

The Village interiors combine gracious elegance, homey comfort and practical convenience, all with a remarkable attention to detail. The campus boasts an authentic English pub, lovely English tea room, charming clubrooms, extensive libraries, elaborate private dining rooms, hair salons, spa, and beautifully decorated common areas. The elegant main dining rooms offer seasonal patio dining with a year-round view of the campus in all its splendor.

Founded in 1990, this family-owned and operated community has earned a reputation for excellence that is second to none. Village residents chose from a variety lifestyle options including catered retirement living in The Chalet, catered assisted living in The Lodge, enhanced assisted living in Baldwin, assisted living for people with Alzheimer’s in The Courtyard, and skilled nursing available to residents in our Atrium.

The Village at Waterman Lake offers the perfect blend of hospitality and healthcare, delivered by an expertly trained staff.  In fact, our caring and professional team here at The Village is our greatest asset.  The dedication and commitment of our staff is simply unparalleled.  Everyday they inspire us with their tireless energy and passion for what they do.

Our Activities team certainly exemplifies that energy and passion when it comes to coordinating an Activities program that truly enhances our residents’ quality of life. Each building has its own Activities Director, who meets with residents monthly to hear comments, ideas, and suggestions on the overall activities program. The Activities Director then uses this feedback to plan and develop the monthly Activities calendar. The result is a full and diverse activities program that is always evolving.

Tried and true favorites include Sunset concerts, which are a summertime tradition here at The Village, the lake providing a spectacular backdrop to the renowned musicians who perform. Annual art exhibits, live performances in all genres of entertainment, and regular theatre outings are just some of the ways residents remain culturally and artistically active.   Seasonal events like the New Year’s Celebration, Valentine’s Ball, St Patty’s party, Spring Fling, Mardi Gras Festival, Southwestern BBQ, Oktoberfest, and Holiday Gatherings are just some of the opportunities residents have throughout the year to get dolled up or to kick up their heels.

Outings to places like Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, Colt State Park, Sturbridge Village, Providence Performing Art Center, RI Philharmonic, Newport Playhouse, Pawtucket Red Sox, La Salette Shrine and various area hot spots and eateries are a regular part of the monthly Activities calendar as well.
