Springfield has rolling hills, natural springs, rivers, caves, and enjoys four distinct seasons a year. This area is rich with caves and rivers and is home to fantastic caverns ? cave that is large enough to ride through! The area also features a wildlife museum, excellent white water rafting, four excellent golf courses, Dickerson park zoo, and the nearby Jordan Valley Park - complete with an Olympic size skating rink. The city also provides a number of excellent cultural opportunities, from the Juanita K. Hammons Performing Arts and Springfield Little Theatre to the Springfield Ballet.
