The Cambridge Homes offers gracious Independent and Assisted Living in a renovated historic building next to Mount Auburn Hospital and just minutes from Harvard Square. The Cambridge Homes is a good choice for individuals who wish to enjoy the many benefits of city living but who also desire security, personalized services and companionship. The residents of The Cambridge Homes enjoy its relaxed ambiance, stimulating social and cultural programs, and top quality services. They lead independent lives yet enjoy the advantages of living in a caring community where everyone's voice is heard.
The Cambridge Homes has a rich tradition of service to the Cambridge community. The not-for-profit organization was established by a group of Cambridge citizens (including Alice Longfellow, the poet's daughter) over 100 years ago. The Cambridge Homes' charitable mission continues to be carried out today by an active nine-member Board of Directors and 50 Incorporators, all from the Cambridge community. Volunteers from the Cambridge area serve on the Friends' Committee sponsoring a variety of in-house programs and acting as medical escorts for residents, driving them to and providing companionship during physician visits.
The Cambridge Homes is managed by Senior Living Residences of Boston, a trusted name in senior housing and care among families and eldercare professionals since 1990. |
