On a clear day, you can see the Pacific Ocean from the summit of Cuyamaca Mountain, the county's second highest peak at an elevation of 6,512 feet. And San Diego's famous Mission Bay and miles of beautiful beaches are also easily reachable...less than an hour's drive in most cases.
On the cultural front, you can enjoy events right in town, from Concerts on the Green at nearby Sycuan Resort and Casino to plays and concerts at the East County Performing Arts Center. Or you can choose to trek12 miles to San Diego to enjoy the San Diego Symphony, cheer for Padres baseball or Chargers football, or take in a play at the world famous Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park.
