South Wind Heights is an active and independent community managed by two (2) resident couples that embody the philosophy we call “The Touch”. The "neighborhood within a neighborhood" delivers amenities designed for active seniors who deserve the lifestyle we are famous for. South Wind Heights also features one of the best Chef’s in the field, and under his expert direction, Chef Edward prepares a variety of menu options for Breakfast, Dinner and Supper. Each meal is served in the main dining room by trained servers who deliver the best in gracious dining. South Wind Heights also features one of the best Activity and Transportation program available today. From daily exercise programs, to a variety of craft and entertainment options, we have something going on all day long. And, if you are still looking for more to do, we have a driver who takes our residents on planned excursions including doctors’ appointments. The most popular excursions are our site-seeing trips, going to country round up jamboree, the library, and stops at the malt shop just to name a few. Other Amenities at South Wind Heights include our popular Beauty Salon and Barber Shop, Library, Multi-denomination Chapel, Exercise and Billiards room, TV and Card room, Private Dining Room for special occasions, and FREE Laundry facilities. Our “Neighborhood” features 114 separate apartments, which include studios, one and two bedroom apartments. There are no long-term leases or buy in fees and all arrangements are handled on a “month-to-month” basis. Each Apartment features an emergency call system and weekly housekeeping service. The social gatherings are a highlight for residents and family members are encouraged to join in and be part of all we have to offer. South Wind Heights serves more than just our seniors and has one of the best Volunteer programs around that allow our residents the opportunity to continue offering their talents to others in Jonesboro.
South Wind Heights is proud to be part of the Jonesboro Community, and with an ideal location, is central to shopping centers, medical facilities, and hotels and is within one mile of the major thoroughfare. The benefit to you is the convenience to all your favorite activities. Attractions nearby include Indian Mall shopping center, Sam's Club, Craighead Forest Park, four country club or golf courses, and two new shopping malls all within ten miles.
