Somerton Center, a 228 bed Genesis HealthCareSM Skilled Nursing Facility located in Philadelphia, PA, recently completed a $6 million renovation.. Somerton Center is one of the largest healthcare centers in the Philadelphia area and offers ShortStay/Sub-Acute and LongTerm Care, as well as Respite and Hospice care on an as needed basis. As part of the massive renovation, Somerton Center is proud to unveil its new on-site Ventilator Unit.
Somerton Center's new Ventilator Unit is a separate 12-bed unit with 4 private and 4 semi-private rooms. The Unit has its own dedicated nursing station and state-of-the-art equipment – including piped in medical gasses. Other renovation improvements include new decor, updated and enhanced ShortStay and LongTerm patient rooms, new furniture, Direct TV connectivity in all patient rooms and TVs in ShortStay rooms, new choice meal selections, and the development of a Spa Program in the second floor Shower Room creating a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere for residents personal needs.
Somerton Center is also unique as it has a completely Russian speaking unit in its D-Wing where patients, residents and staff speak fluent Russian.
Somerton Center is located just 20 miles north of Center City Philadelphia and approximately 30 miles north of the Philadelphia International Airport.
