Our Special care unit Windsor Heights exceeds the expectation for dementia and alzheimer's care. In the Tender Care resident home area of Windsor Heights, we believe we have an obligation to ensure the voice of our residents, around their everyday and meaningful lives, their hopes, dreams and capabilities is heard loud and clear.
Our residents are very interactive with life skill programs such as: bed making, preparation of lunch, table setting, woodworking and more. The walls echo with the song of birds, laughter of children, old nostalgic tunes and rooms spill over with green growing plants and the busyness of years gone by.
Our other units feature therapeutic hydrosonic tubs, large activity rooms, nondenominational workshop, tuck shop, hair salon, not to mention the packed activity calendar. In addition, we offer a beautiful “stay-over” suite for the out-of-towner.
We have recently added a game room, complete with pool table and other interactive games for the residents to enjoy and family members during their visits.
Included among our nursing services are: specialized nursing for residents with complex care requirements; on-site physiotherapy and a restorative care program to maintain resident mobility and independence.
