The majority of the apartments even overlook the forest, with those on the east and south having views of the lake and wildlife. Residents can also enjoy the vastness of nearly 65,000 ft. of common area, including five lounges, a TV room, spa, exercise room, large party area with dance floor, as well as two elevators. Kansas City, MO Northland is one of the fastest growing areas in K.C., and Garden Village is right in the midst of all. Commercial and residential expansion is going in all around us, putting our residents in a prime location to enjoy all kinds of great nearby activities. There is extensive shopping within three miles of the facility, and a number of excellent golf courses are less than fifteen minutes away. The culture buff can find museums (Truman & Eisenhower), theaters (Heartland), and movies nearby as well. We are also located just 10 minutes from the airport. A facility of this size means residents can be as independent or involved as they wish, although the warmness of a community is very present. Garden Village is wide open, bright and airy, and don’t portray the sterile environment of many other locations (this atmosphere is the main reason for their happy residents, who provide most of the new move-ins through referrals!). Everyone is encouraged to live like they did in their own neighborhood (i.e. dance classes, choral groups, own and operate our gift shops, organize and lead community activities), and most get even busier after moving into Garden Village! Garden Village has a special program where they have adopted an elementary school. They have regular interaction with them, and their paper recycle program even funds the purchase of books for classrooms. |
