Fullerton Gardens ~ Fullerton, California
The Gardens Residential Care Community Centers were the first in California to be built with a specially designed floor plan for those with Alzheimer's disease and memory impairment. Each care center is spread across two acres of land and offers extensive walking paths, beautiful rose gardens, and sunny patios for the resident's enjoyment. We have created the ideal secured environment, which alleviates stress and anxiety. The spaciousness, high ceilings, soft lights, warm colors and home-like atmosphere of our centers further contribute to the feeling of freedom and independence of our residents.
We provide the highest level of personal services under the direction of qualified licensed, professionals. Our goal is to maintain the highest possible level of functioning and independence. Our staff is involved in ongoing training including philosophy of care, behavioral management and effective communication. Many of our caregivers have been with us for over 10 years and understand the special needs of those with Alzheimer's and related dementias.

Our daily care program includes:
|
- Health services supervised by licensed nurses
- Medication management
- Nutritionally balanced meals and snacks
- Accommodation for special dietary needs
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, and hygiene
- Incontinence management
|
We offer an entertaining and individualized activities program, including cognitive and sensory stimulation, reminiscence, exercises, pet therapy, music, and art. Visits from schools, churches, and other community groups provide added opportunities for enriching social interaction.
We also offer a complete Respite Care Program seven days a week. We provide 24-hour respite care from one to thirty days. Respite care residents enjoy all the amenities and activity programs as full time residents.
Our centers have received numerous awards for their quality of care. Many professionals from the United States and countries such as Japan, Canada, England, South Korea, and Israel have visited our care centers to inquire about our unique design and care philosophy. However, our most cherished praise comes from the families who have entrusted their loved ones to our care. The hundreds of post-cards and letters since 1983 are an immense source of pride for the Neches family, the founders of The Gardens. Our relationship with families does not stop after resident leaves one of our community centers. Many families become our ambassadors to the community. In fact, the majority of our referrals come from families of present and former residents. |
