At Edenton we understand that everyone is different. That’s why we are committed to meeting the unique physical and emotional needs of every resident in our independent and assisted living neighborhoods.
Our community includes 76 attractive cottages with ground floor entrances that can be modified for wheelchair accessibility. Each cottage has its own kitchen with appliances, porch and front lawn area. Each has a washer/dryer hookup. We have five different floor plans, and you may decorate your cottage to suit your taste, furnishing it with your own furniture and personal belongings.
Fiddler's Green is a lovely group residence for those who need assistance with the activities of daily living. We prepare individual care plans for our residents to help them live as independently as possible, yet still receive the assistance they need. Up to 15 residents live at Fiddler’s Green and there are three floor plans. All residents have their own private bedroom and bath. Everyone shares the common areas - dining rooms, activity room, living room and lounge.
The center of community living at Edenton is the Manor House. Friends gather to enjoy activities, movies, the library, community rooms and beauty salon. We offer a variety of activities, such as bingo, crafts classes, bible study, games, and special speakers. The Manor House is also home to Phantom, Edenton's resident cat who has the affection of residents.
We also organize regular group outings to many different places within Frederick and beyond, such as Charles Town, Harper’s Ferry, Washington, Baltimore, and other cities in Maryland and neighboring states. Scenic drives and Friday out to lunches are popular.
The Edenton community of cottage and assisted living facilities is situated on approximately 10 acres just on the outskirts of Frederick city. The community is conveniently located by local shopping centers and a variety of grocery stores. Public transportation is available as well as Edenton’s scheduled transportation for personal appointments.
