The lodge was named after Lieutenant Henry Bayfield, meticulous hydrographer for the Royal Navy.  The decor of Bayfield House Retirement Lodge will feature historical highlights from Penetanguishene's naval history.  Focusing on customer service this lifestyle choice will allow residents to maintain their independence while at the same time offer service amenities to allow for the true enjoyment of retirement years.
