Baptist Retirement Communities of Georgia, Inc. is an agency of the Georgia Baptist Convention. We operate under a charter granted by the State of Georgia as a non-profit organization for ministry to senior citizens. Our board of trustees is appointed by the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Trustees serve a five year term, and rotate off at varying intervals. Our specific area of ministry is housing for senior adults (50 years and older). We offer retirement living, both congregate and freestanding apartments, and personal care, or assisted living. Our communities are attractive, modern, and affordable, with an emphasis on Christian environment. Planned activities are organized and conducted by activity coordinators. Local community involvement is encouraged. Transportation is provided for local church events and services. Funding for our ministry comes from the Georgia Baptist Cooperative Program, a special Senior Adult Day Offering in our Baptist Churches, individual contributions and other grants and donations. We offer our apartments and personal care rooms for rent. We are able to keep rental rates below market price because we are operating as a ministry, with a mission to provide affordable senior living. Endowment funds from donors with passion for the ministry further enable us to fund our services. |
