Life at the Baptist Home promotes independence with a little extra
care. Our community has been designed with touches of home, yet offers special
amenities and caring services customized for each individual.
CARING FOR THE BODY
Attention
to physical well-being is an important aspect of life at the Baptist Home with
weekly exercise opportunities. Delicious, balanced meals are enjoyed daily by
residents of the Baptist Home of Kenmare.
In addition to traditional
services in our Assisted Living program, our compassionate staff is dedicated to
the preservation of self-esteem, independence and dignity. CARING FOR THE MIND
Life at the
Baptist Home is exciting and fulfilling with a broad range of activities and
social programs. Our transportation services allow residents to enjoy outings in
the greater Kenmare area, as well.
In 1998, the Alzheimer’s Care program
opened based on a social model rather than a medical model. Individual
curriculum, tailored to each resident, is designed to enhance his or her
abilities and interests. Residents of the Alzheimer’s unit are encouraged to
take part in normal life activities.
CARING FOR THE SPIRIT
“Care in the
Christian perspective” has been a mission of the Baptist Home of Kenmare since
its conception over 40 years ago.
Our campus offers various open areas
and lounges for relaxation and family visits. Our beautiful outdoor campus
features an inviting gazebo where residents can enjoy fresh air.
There
is an awareness throughout the Baptist Home community for each person’s comfort
and security, and residents’ needs are responded to with generous amounts of
love and compassion.
The Baptist Home of Kenmare offers private rooms
and private bathrooms regardless of financial status.
