The newest concept in retirement living has arrived on the Virginia Peninsula. The Arbors at Port Warwick, a 96-unit luxury apartment residence offers a retirement lifestyle community for seniors.
Introduced by Virginia Health Services, this new concept offers seniors the opportunity to rent their own apartments. Unlike many other senior residences, no entrance fees are required. The apartments are simply rented on an annual basis.
The community offers spacious and comfortable common areas, several dining venues, retail shops on the ground floor, garden and sun rooms, a grand lobby, elevators, and the many amenities in surrounding Port Warwick.
Located directly across from William Styron Square, the heart of Port Warwick, The Arbors residents have access to the many new restaurants, boutiques, specialty shops, and medical services right in the new neighborhood. This prime location also offers a front row center seat for concerts, art events and social occasions.
The Arbors at Port Warwick allows seniors 55 years of age and over to create a new apartment residence lifestyle which offers the best amenities of retirement – such as excellent formal and casual dining, a wellness and fitness center with physical therapy and rehabilitation services on premises, housekeeping, laundry services, scheduled transportation, plus personal support services and assistance, should they be necessary. A professional staff is available 24-hours a day. Residents also have access to Concierge services for special requests.
Apartments are available in three different styles: studio, one-bedroom and two- bedroom. The fourth floor of The Arbors houses apartments offering premier services such as continental breakfast, valet parking, personal shopping and complimentary guest meals. Elegant lounge areas are available for social events at The Arbors Club.
Dining also offers personal choices. Residents select from meals at the casual Arbors Café, or a more formal setting in The Arbors Dining Room. Menu choices are varied and the menu selections change frequently. Emphasis is placed on providing a quality dining experience that one would expect in an elegant restaurant.
The development of The Arbors at Port Warwick represents a new venture for Virginia Health Services, well known on the Virginia Peninsula since the mid-60s for its convalescent and rehabilitation centers.
