Windlands South is an active and independent community managed by three (3) resident couples that embody the philosophy we call “The Touch”.  The "neighborhood within a neighborhood" delivers amenities designed for active seniors who deserve the lifestyle we are famous for.  Windlands South also features one of the best Chef’s in the field, and under his expert direction, Fabian prepares a variety of menu options for Breakfast, Dinner and Supper.  Each meal is served in the main dining room by trained servers who deliver the best in gracious dining.  Windlands South also features one of the best Activity and Transportation program available today.  From daily exercise programs, to a variety of craft and entertainment options, we have something going on all day long.  And, if you are still looking for more to do, we have a private driver who takes our residents on planned excursions including doctors’ appointments.  Other Amenities at Windlands South include our popular Beauty Salon and Barber Shop, Library, Multi-denomination Chapel, Exercise and Billiards room, TV and Card room, Private Dining Room for special occasions, and FREE Laundry facilities.  Our “Neighborhood” features 176 separate apartments, which include studios, one and two bedroom apartments.  There are no long-term leases or buy in fees and all arrangements are handled on a “month-to-month” basis.  Each Apartment features an emergency call system, weekly housekeeping service and a full kitchen.  Limited Storage units are available on a “first-come” basis and the first unit is free. The social gatherings are a highlight for residents and family members are encouraged to join in and be part of all we have to offer.  Windlands South serves more than our seniors and has one of the best Volunteer programs around and that allows our residents the opportunity to continue offering their talents to others in Nashville.

Windlands South is proud to be part of the Nashville Community, and with an ideal location, is central to the best Music City has to offer.  With in a 5 to 8-mile radius, you will find Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Medical Center, Downtown Nashville and the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Local attractions are just minutes away and easy to get to from Windlands South.

We have earned an outstanding reputation in the community and with that, have been able to attract the best professionals for our “on-site” physical and occupational therapy programs and also feature a variety of options for “in-home” care through our affiliation with “Senior Moments”.  In addition, we have a visiting Physician who takes appointments each week.  We have dedicated the 5th floor for upgraded services, however, should the need arise, these services are available to all Windlands South residents.
