Lyon Manor Nursing & Rehab. Center

Lyon Manor Nursing & Rehab Center is a 51-bed skilled nursing facility nestled on the outskirts of Rock Rapids in northwest Iowa. We provide 24-hour skilled nursing care to our residents. Occupational therapists work with residents who find themselves in need of assistance with their activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing and grooming. We offer Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy services. Residents who come to us for their rehab program have experienced a fractured hip or a knee replacement. We are very excited about how many residents we send back home after they complete our rehab program! A physical therapist will customize rehabilitation programs designed specific to the unique needs of each individual including balance, strength training, and pain management.We offer many daily activities including exercises, devotions, sing-a-longs, Bible studies and a community worship service every Sunday. Many outings include participating in the local senior center, “dinner date,” fishing outings in the summer, going to the circus and to the mall in nearby Sioux Falls, and many more fun trips.We pride ourselves on our food service and have long time dietary staff their years of service total over 70 years. Lyon Manor also provides the weekend Meals on Wheels for Rock Rapids. Our center features a courtyard where residents can enjoy the passing traffic, nature, or just get a breath of fresh air. Many activities have taken place in the courtyard, too, including a session with root beer floats, a gentleman’s gathering, and gardening. The courtyard is decorated with a circular pattern including beautiful flowers and shrubbery for all to enjoy. Our experienced and dedicated staff is devoted to caring for our residents.
