Kingsway Arms at Aurora Retirement Centre is nestled in an established residential neighborhood, blending with the homes in the area, surrounded by green space and large mature trees adding to the park like setting. The cozy, more intimate setting here makes it easy to make new friends and companionship to flourish

The dining room is large enough to accommodate all our residents in one seating, with ample room for families to join us for meals and special events. The adjoining fireplace lounge, with a baby grand piano, is our stage for performers to entertain during fine dining events, birthday and other parties.

Recreational activities, in house entertainment, and regular outings are planned well in advance and monthly newsletters and calendars are sent to residents, families and friends to keep them informed of upcoming events, which are open to everyone.

In house activities range from the usual – bingo, bridge, euchre, rummoli, poker, scrabble and pictionary, to the unusual, such as visits from snakes and alligators to classic car clubs. The variety of entertainment is not limited to great singers and musicians, but magicians, chocolatiers, and herbalists will amaze you with their knowledge and skills.

As a fully supportive living environment, we provide wellness programs, guest speakers to speak on health related issues. Our house physician visits on a weekly basis and residents can see him at his office in our facility.

Housekeeping includes a weekly full cleaning with daily garbage pickup and checks to see if any extra attention is required. Linens are changed and personal laundry is done on a weekly basis. Laundry facilities are available for those who still like to do their own.

Three appealing nutritious meals are served daily and our dietary staff is able to meet all special diet requirements. Coffee and tea, snacks and other refreshments are available for everyone to enjoy anytime in our new Bistro.

Massage therapy, beauty salon, manicure and pedicure services, and foot care provided by a registered nurse, are services that are available on a regular schedule in house. Appointments can be made at the front desk.

Exercise equipment in our workout room is available for use at your own leisure, use our billiards table for a game of snooker, enjoy movie nights in our little theatre or read lots of great titles available in our library. Join a group – knitting, bridge, or pole walking. Nice weather beckons you to enjoy the fresh air out on the patio in our back garden. Winter nights can be spent with the warmth of the fireplace, nice and cozy as you look out the window and watch the snowflakes settle.
