Sayre Christian village, a not-for-profit corporation, has, over the past twenty four years, established its reputation as a versatile, thriving retirement community.  Our lovely 25-acre campus is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, yet is only minutes away from shopping, restaurants and medical facilities.  Fayette Mall, the largest retail shopping mall in central Kentucky is less than two miles from our campus.  Restaurants, from national chains to regional and local dining facilities, provide culinary delights to suit any palate, from ultra-sophisticated to “Kentucky down-home good eatin’.”  Four major hospital organizations serve our community.  The University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital are nationally renowned for their care.  The Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky is among the nation’s leaders in the study of the Aging Process. 

Sayre offers three levels of care conveniently located on our campus.  Baunta Apartments, a ninety (98) apartment complex, offers affordable HUD subsidized independent living for the elderly in a relaxed, comfortable and safe atmosphere.  Dining facilities are available along with activities, transportation to healthcare appointments and recreational outings, and a state-of-the-art emergency response system.   

Friendship Towers one hundred and one (101) apartment complex, is a State Certified Assisted Living facility which offers both independent living and assisted living – for those residents who need a little extra help with daily activities.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available and served by our friendly dining services staff.  Our caregiver staff are available twenty-four (24) hour per day seven (7) days per week.  Activities, transportation to medical appointments and recreational outings and an emergency response system are also included.  

The dedicated staff at Moberly Manor Nursing Home provides nursing care while encouraging individual talents to thrive.  Moberly’s state-of-the-art rehabilitation complex returns many temporary residents to their homes.  Long term skilled and intermediate nursing care is offered at the one hundred and nine (109) bed facility.  The facility is certified by Medicare and Medicaid and, in addition, accepts most insurance payers and private pay residents.

Sayre Christian Village is located in the Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky, less than 100 miles from Louisville and Cincinnati.  The surrounding communities of Danville (home of Centre College), Frankfort (State Capital), Richmond (home of Eastern Kentucky University, Georgetown (home of Georgetown College), Nicholasville (home of Asbury College) and Winchester boast residents who live at Sayre Christian Village.    Located in the center of Horse Country, Sayre Christian Village is minutes from Keeneland, for thoroughbred racing, and the Red Mile, a center for harness racing.  Of course, the granddaddy of them all, Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, is a short drive of 75 minutes.
